Grupo Calvo Spain obtains Healthy Organization Certification

Bureau Veritas recognizes all of the Group’s companies in Spain as constituting healthy organizations

Grupo Calvo underwent a rigorous audit based on screening and self-assessment of thirteen indicators and has presented a “Healthy Activities Plan” for 2024

Madrid, October 26, 2023 – Grupo Calvo has been awarded Healthy Organization Certification for its good practices in the realm of employee health, safety and well-being. Bureau Veritas has verified all of the Group’s companies in Spain as healthy organizations.

In order to obtain this certification, Grupo Calvo underwent a rigorous screening- and self-assessment-based audit of thirteen indicators linked to the company’s physical and psychosocial environment, training, communication and community outreach, as well as its healthcare resources.

Following the audit, Bureau Veritas verified that the initiatives carried out by Grupo Calvo meet the standard in terms of health, safety and well-being. This underscores the company’s commitment to continuous improvement and the health of its employees.

“We are extremely proud that Grupo Calvo has received this certification in all its companies in Spain. Next year we would like to extend it to include our factories and offices in Italy and El Salvador,” says Rebeca Figueira, director of Human Resources for the Europe Division.

As part of its long-term corporate commitment, Grupo Calvo has unveiled a “Healthy Activities Plan” for 2024, with the aim of continuing to focus on the well-being of all its employees. This campaign, which will run for ten months, features initiatives geared toward promoting a healthy lifestyle among Grupo Calvo employees. Activities include yoga, running or paddle tennis classes, motivational talks, and outdoor volunteer activities, among others.

The Healthy Organization Certification awarded to the company reinforces Grupo Calvo’s commitment to promoting workplace health, as well as the fulfillment of its obligations with regard to occupational risk prevention.
