Grupo Calvo listed among the 100 Best Companies to Work For in the Forbes ranking

Grupo Calvo has been included in Forbes magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work for in Spain” ranking. From among the 2,000 organizations assessed, this ranking recognizes companies that stand out for their commitment to their employees in matters as diverse as equal pay, remuneration, digital disconnection and company culture.

The initiatives carried out by Grupo Calvo deemed worthy of this recognition include the firm’s unwavering commitment to equality and a balanced gender presence within the organization. At present, women hold 41.6% of the middle management positions at Grupo Calvo, and represent 28.6% of the Steering Committee, with both figures reaching close to 95% in terms of the base targets set to be achieved by 2025.

Employee’s continuous learning is also vital for the company, which has increased the amount of training time per employee per year by up to 36 hours. “Ongoing training to develop the knowledge and skills needed to adapt to technological changes is essential. Our approach to technology as a tool revolves around complementarity in lieu of substitution,” states Rebeca Filgueira Otero, director of Human Resources at Grupo Calvo. She adds, “We are extremely proud to be part of this ranking, which is a reflection of our commitment at Grupo Calvo to the well-being and development of our employees.”

The company also offers recognition and reward programs for all its employees, with the aim of enhancing visibility and promoting attitudes and mindsets such as the pursuit of innovative solutions and teamwork. “The recognition of talent and unique skills, achievements and experiences must take place on a regular basis to ensure that employees know they are valued and appreciated”, says Filgueira.

The Forbes ranking of the “100 Best Companies to Work For in Spain,” carried out by Sigma Dos and which this year celebrates its fifth implementation, is based on the opinion of employees themselves. They evaluate their company taking into account aspects such as work-life balance, employer branding, company benefits, work methodologies, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policies, telecommuting and engagement.
